What is “Experimental Modal Analysis” (EMA)?

【實驗模態分析】(Experimental Modal Analysis, EMA) 也可稱為【模態試驗】(modal testing)

【實驗模態分析】是一種實驗方法,主要在求得結構的模態參數,包括:自然頻率、模態振型及模態阻尼比。

【實驗模態分析】的基本步驟:(1)量測取得結構的頻率響應函數。(2)由頻率響應函數透過曲線嵌合求得模態參數。

Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA) is also known as “Modal Testing.”

EMA is the experimental method to obtain structural modal parameters, including Natural frequencies, Mode shapes and Modal damping ratios.

Basic steps of EMA are: (1) To measure structural FRFs (Frequency Response Functions)
(2) To determine structural modal parameters by the curve-fitting method from FRFs.
